Ride It powered by Evans Cycles is coming to the South Pennines, whether you are a Mountain Biker or Road Cyclist the nationally recognised bike shop have 6 rides on offer to cater for a broad range of abilities. Come and visit Calderdale and the South Pennines on the 30th and 31st January 2016 and enjoy our wonderful winter cycling delights.
Now an established fixture on the RIDE IT calendar, this ride is a favourite amongst staff, most of whom are mad for a day of challenging off-road trails in the depths of winter! Regardless of the time of year, the trails tend to stay firm whatever the month, allowing a good pace and chance to enjoy some exhilarating descents. The route heads north to the stunning Watergrove Reservoir, before heading towards Todmorden on an absolutely breath-taking remote trail. Rough Hill awaits before a spin through Hades and final push back to base. This ride is full of epic climbs and challenging terrain, but the incredible scenery, phenomenal trail-riding and adrenaline filled descents make it all worth it. If you are coming from out of tonight why not stay the night in Calderdale and ride some of the best natural trails in the UK on the Sunday.

Now in its 7th year, this route is a fantastic example of the stunning road cycling on offer in the north of England. The natural contours of the land make for a hilly, challenging route that will reward riders for their winter efforts! The route loops over the picturesque Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, taking in the local moors – a great stretch of remote, panoramic riding. The challenging nature of the ride continues but will also provide some boasting rights amongst friends with a spin over Crag Vale – the longest continual climb in England and feature of the 2014 Tour de France! This ride is an excellent opportunity to blow away the January cobwebs whilst clocking up some mileage in the great British countryside. Turn up early on the Saturday and prepare for Sundays event by exploring some of Calderdale’s cracking rural roads and scenery.
