Brighouse is a medium size market town situated on the River Calder, 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Halifax.
You have a wealth of options when choosing to travel to Brighouse, be it by car, as it is just off junction 25 of the M62. By train Brighouse railway station on the Caldervale Line and Huddersfield Line. Or Even by BOAT! As the town centre is a mooring basin on the Calder and Hebble Navigation.
There’s lots happening in Brighouse, Three times a year the town hosts Brighouse Food and Craft Markets, with over 70 stalls full of local goodies. One of the must see events of the year has to be the Brighouse 40s Weekend, usually held on the first weekend in June, with re enactors, vintage civilian and military vehicles, vintage market, full size replica spitfire, fairground, steam train rides and much more.
