Cycle Calderdale is a partnership between Calderdale Council and Cycle Calderdale

The website was set up to promote Calderdale as a cycling destination for all abilities, by allowing local cyclists the ability to share their knowledge of the area, and to promote, our local shops and amenities.

Born in Gateshead (now in Tyne & Wear, but in 1969 it was Durham), Shaun first came to Todmorden in 1997 for a weekend on his mountain bike after spending too long working for computer software companies in the south of England, America and Japan. He liked it so much he moved to Todmorden in 1999. He now runs a website design and software development company, based in Todmorden called aegis design.


Matt was drawn to Calderdale because of it’s outstanding mountain biking and fell in love. A regular cyclist both on road and off road, often found riding from Rochdale, to Rishworth to visit family. He is a partner in Fatunicorn a digital marketing company based in Rochdale
